Privacy
What we keep, and why.
Christianities is a project of the First Things Foundation, a nonprofit. We collect what a film campaign and a supporter community need, and nothing we'd be embarrassed to explain.
What we collect
- Email and name when you join the list, create an account, or give. This is how we reach you and how a gift is matched to you.
- Giving records from Zeffy, the First Things Foundation's giving platform: amount, date, whether it recurs, and the campaign source. Card details never reach us; Zeffy and its payment processor hold those.
- Account and profile: username, name, city, the premiere-hosting details you add, and the settings you choose. Your email is never shown to other supporters.
- What you send us: messages through Chat with us, parish details and links through Send us your church, and the people who join through your share link.
- Technical basics: privacy-friendly analytics without cookies or personal identifiers, and short-lived request logs used to stop abuse.
How we use it
- To run the campaign: receipts, thank-yous, updates, and calls to action.
- To run your supporter home: the production journal, supporter meetings, premiere hosting, and the newsletter you chose.
- To understand what's working: which links and creators send supporters, in aggregate.
Who sees your profile
Only you and the film's team. If you turn on Show me in the community in your supporter home, other signed-in supporters see your first name, city and level, and nothing else. It is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.
Who else touches it
Supabase (database and sign-in), Netlify (hosting), Sanity (site content), Resend (email), Zeffy (giving), Cloudflare (bot protection on forms), and YouTube for embedded video. Each holds only what its job needs. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share the list with other organizations, including participants in the film.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from email with the link in any message, or in your supporter home settings.
- Turn Show me in the community on or off whenever you like.
- Close your account from your supporter home; your giving record stays with the Foundation for its accounting.
- Ask us what we hold about you, and we'll tell you.
Age
Accounts are for people 18 and older. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we close it and delete the profile.
